The 5 decisions behind strong photos

1) Intent: decide what the photo is about in one sentence. If you can’t say it, the viewer won’t see it.

2) Light: identify the dominant direction and quality (hard/soft). Move yourself before you move settings.

3) Exposure: pick one priority: motion, noise, or depth. Adjust the other two to support it.

4) Composition: remove one distraction. Then add one anchor. Simplicity reads as confidence.

5) Edit: do global corrections first (white balance, exposure), then local (dodge/burn), then crop last.
